Max Payne fue desarrollado por Remedy Entertainment para Microsoft en el 2001 y es de los primeros juegos que me generó un compromiso real como gamer. Jugaba día y noche para completar el juego con el único objetivo de volver a empezar en la siguiente dificultad. Considero que es de mis juegos de culto y lo será siempre. En mi caso fue el primer videojuego de gráficos avanzados, de jugabilidad casi realista en su totalidad y que llegó a mí en formato para PC en el caso de la primera entrega. Cuando llega a mí la consola Xbox también viene con ella Max Payne 2: The fall of Max Payne, desarrollado para la consola por Rockstar en el 2003 y mi emoción por retomar la secuela de uno de mis juegos favoritos fue absoluta.
Debo reconocer que la historia que plantea esta segunda entrega no fue tan contundente como en su primera entrega y las escenas de suspenso y en algunos casos quizás un poco de terror, tuvieron menor impacto, sin embargo, la jugabilidad, el catalogo de armas, los gráficos, la narración de la historia tipo comic y “la matrix” como le nombrábamos en aquel entonces a ese movimiento en cámara lenta y que nos permitía ejecutar ataque con precisión, son igual de excelentes.
Recomiendo 100% este juego, es un TPS (Third person shooter = Disparos en tercera persona) que nos entrega un catálogo de armas excelente y para todos los gustos, los escenarios y el desarrollo de la historia nos va a mantener completamente inmersos en su jugabilidad y duración.
